Window Cleaning Technician (California Area)

Responsibilities

Cab Window Cleaning:

• Required to wash the inside and outside surfaces of the windows. Each window must be spotless and bug-free for complete visibility of airport approach and runways. After the employee/contractor cleans each window, traces of film, dirt, smudges, water, and other foreign matter must be removed from the frames, casings, and glass surfaces. Employee/contractor must ensure that all glass surfaces be cleaned and left free of streaks and stains and must be wiped dry.

Cab Shade Cleaning:

• Polish shades using a soft cloth and liquid cleaning solution using a side-to-side motion, not circular. The cloth must be non-abrasive; the material is delicate and prone to scratching. The shades must be cleaned with a product designed specifically for window film and shade material and have special antistatic properties to avoid impurities build upon the shades. Proper maintenance must significantly prolong the visibility and lifespan of the shades. Employee/Contractor must carefully service the shades to avoid any shades.

Service Frequency:

• Employee/Contractor will be required to prepare a monthly schedule to service multiple facilities throughout the Northern California areas.

• The frequency for servicing each FAA Tower will be at minimum twice monthly and one quarterly depending on the location.
